According to the invention, the laminate (1) is composed of a back face (15) having an outer face (16), of a nonwoven sheet (mat) (10) of 40 g/m<2>, of a first polyethylene bonding layer (10a) of 15 g/m<2>, of a wood veneer (11), either skived or sliced, of a thickness approximately equal to 0.5-0.6 mm, of a second bonding layer (12) made of a polyamide hot-melt adhesive of 40 g/m<2>, and of a covering film (13) made of polyvinyl chloride of 120 microns in thickness. The assembly was fused together by the combined action of heating to 100 DEG -150 DEG C and a pressure between 1 and 5 MPa. This laminate is very flexible and may be shaped to radii going down to 1 mm. <IMAGE>
