<p>PURPOSE:To improve charging efficiency due to resonance effect by respectively providing guide ports between a distribution conduit and respective intake ports. CONSTITUTION:The distribution conduit 11 of an intake manifold 9 is constituted to linearly extend nearly in parallel with the longitudinal side 8 of a cylinder head 7, and the section of the distribution conduit 11 is formed into a rectangle so that at least an opposing part to respective intake ports 4-6 in the inner face of the distribution conduit 11 is a plane reflecting surface 15 nearly in parallel with the longitudinal side 8. A spacer 16 is inserted between the intake manifold 9 and the longitudinal side 8 of the cylinder head 7, and guide ports 17-19 having circular sections and communicating the distribution conduit 11 to respective intake ports 4-6 are drilled. The inner height dimension H of the distribution conduit 11 and the inner height dimension (d1) of the guide ports 17-19 are equalized or nearly equalized to the inner diameters (d) of respective intake ports 4-6. Hereby, extremely strong blow back of pressure wave can be obtained.</p> |
