<p>PURPOSE:To make improvements in reliability and housing efficiency ever so better, by making an up-and-down movable lower holding member of a vertical holding mechanism go down, and constituting it so as to transfer an article onto a support plate and make it move in a reference position direction, in case of a mechanism bearing the above caption, available for an automatic warehouse. CONSTITUTION:When a selective mechanism 3 takes an article 1 out of the desired storage rack and a positional error is judged there, a motor 14 is driven and a lower holding member 13 is made to go down on the basis of the result. With this operation, the lower holding member 13 passes through a support plate 20 downward. At this time, the article 1 is transferred to the support plate 20 from the holding member 13. Next, a solenoid 19b operates, making a movable member 19 move to some extent, thus the article 1 is positioned to a reference position. Then, the lower holding member 13 goes upward whereby the article 1 is held by both upper and lower holding members 12 and 13, and the specified handling takes place. With this constitution, improvements in reliability and housing efficiency are well promoted.</p> |
