Float carrying a fast boat, equipped with an underwater fin (6) which can have a movement of roll by virtue of an articulation (2), a feeler (4) fixed to the front of the float (1) making it possible to modify the angle of incidence (i) of the fin (6) depending on the arrival of waves. A damper (shock absorber) (11) is placed between the float (1) and the boat, and the feeler (4) is fixed to the float (1) by a flexible connection (10) in order to create an automatic control loop operating with anticipation, allowing the boat to remain at high speed around about the surface of the water, without beginning to rock, and without creating abrupt impacts with the waves. An articulation (12) and a pulley block (14) make it possible to modify the datum point for the setting (i) during sailing in order to adjust the amount by which the float (1) lifts off the water, as a function of the state of the sea. Application to motorboats, sailing boats, or boats with a flying wing. <IMAGE>
