Coupling device for, in a harness with two animals abreast (3) connected to a vehicle through the use of a drawbar (4), coupling each animal (3) to the drawbar (4) comprising: a drawbar (4) extending up to in line with the saddle (5) of the animals; a post (7) which is supported by its lower end substantially on the front end of the drawbar (4) through the use of a ball joint (6) and which extends upwards up to the height of the saddle (5); and two articulated and extensible connections (8) extending respectively on either side of the upper end of the post (7), each connection including a longitudinally extensible connection member one end of which is fixed to the upper end of the post (7) with possibility for pivoting about an axis (11) parallel to the axis of the post and the other end of which is fixed to the saddle (5) by a ball joint (12, 13). <IMAGE>
