EXAMPLE:p-Methoxybenzyl=3-[3-(2-benzyloxycarbonylaminoethyl)thio-1,2,4- thiadiazol-5-yl]thiomethyl-7-[2-(z)-methoxyimino-2-(2- triphenylmethylaminothiazol-4-yl)acetamido]-3-cephem-4-carboxylic acid. USE:An antibacterial agent against gram-positive bacteria including methicilin- resistant Staphylococcus aureus. PREPARATION:A compound shown by formula II is reacted with a compound shown by the formula R<1a>OH (R<1a> is the same acyl as R<1>) optionally in the presence of a base.
