PURPOSE:To prevent buckling even in the case of the width of a slab being drastically varied and the maximum edge rolling reduction being increased, by providing a driving means which installs an end face roll group with its movement to the position where the buckling of a slab can be prevented without interfering with a die on a moving frame. CONSTITUTION:In a press roll device 10 for preventing buckling of an edge rolling reduction press, at least one set of the upper and lower rolls group 11 and 12 are arranged at the inlet and outlet sides and at least one set of end side roll groups 13, 14 which can be positioned respectively at both sides of this fixed roll groups 11, 12 are mounted on a moving frame 15 and made movable in the feeding direction of a slab. Also, a driving means 16 is provided, the moving frame 15 is moved by the tip and rear end of the slab S, the end side roll group 13 is moved to the inlet side at all times and a reverse press is made to be enabled, also the end side roll group can be located at the position where the buckling can be prevented with the movement of the moving frame 15 even in the case of the slab S width being varied. |
