PURPOSE:To improve the moldability and facilitate the formation of an ultrathin film by causing a substd. acetylene polymer film to absorb or absorb a reducing substance and simultaneously adding an oxidizing metal compd. to the polymer film. CONSTITUTION:A substd. acetylene polymer film comprising a compd. of the formula [wherein R<1> is H, halogen, or a 1-4C hydrocarbon group; and R<2> is trialkylsilyl (deriv.), phenyl, or a 4-6C hydrocarbon group] pref. having a bulky group in the side chain is made by the LB technique or water-surface spreading method. The film is caused absorb or absorb a reducing substance comprising a compd. having an Si-H group by one method selected from the group consisting of normal pressure impregnation, vacuum impregnation, surface spreading, and LB technique, and simultaneously an oxidizing metal compd. (e.g. osmium oxide) is added to the polymer film, thus producing a conductive polymer film. |
