The closure plate 2 is connected to the rear end of the bomb body 1 by a eutectic material 3. In the radial chamber 7 bottom of the body 1, pistons 8 are pressed under the action of springs 9, bearing against the upper wall of cavities 10 of the plate 2 which are situated facing the chambers 7. The bottom of each chamber 7 is connected, via a shut-off valve 16, to a compressed air tank 12, and the valve 16 is connected by a wire 14 to a jettisoning device equipping the aircraft. At the moment of in-flight jettisoning, the pull exerted on the wire 13 unlocks the valve 16 to supply the chamber 7 with pressurised air. The pistons 8 then partially leave the chambers 7 to engage in cavities 10, permanently joining the body 1 and the plate 2. The invention makes it automatically impossible to unconfine the bomb when it is jettisoned in the active state. <IMAGE>
