<p>PURPOSE:To make a suitable tracking state for the digital recording and reproducing by providing an amplitude detecting means for detecting a head reproducing signal, and a detecting means for detecting the lowest value in the effective period as a tracking state in the output signal of this means. CONSTITUTION:At the time of reproducing, the signal reproduced from a tape through heads HOa, Hla, HOb, Hlb is outputted to reproducing amplification circuits 13, 14 after selected by recording/reproducing change-over switches S0, S1 and 180 degrees head change-over switches S2, S3. To the amplitude detection circuits 16, 17 the output of the circuits 13, 14 are applied and ampli tude detected, and to the A/D circuits 18, 19 the output are applied and quantized with a clock from a servo-circuit 21. The quantized head reproducing level value is sent to a system control circuit 20, and the lowest reproducing level value in the effective period within one revolution of the head is indicated. While watching the indication by executing the tracking adjustment by the operator, the best tracking state is easily obtained.</p> |
