Improved composting of organic materials - by agglomerating crude compost prior to composting
摘要

A process for composting organic materials comprises agglomerating the crude compost material prior to composting. Agglomeration is pref. carried out using the methods and machinery of press agglomeration and the raw materials are pref. comminuted to particle size below 30 mm prior to agglomeration and the pellets formed are of size 5-30 mm. USE/ADVANTAGE - The extra cost of the agglomeration process is well off-set by the many advantages incurred, e.g. each stage takes a far shorter time, with total rotting times being as low as 4-6 weeks.
