The housing system has each of the circuit boards (8) carrying the control devices contained within a respective prismatic housing (1). The latter housings (1) are stacked together, one on top of the other, with clamping devices for securing the stacked housings (1) together, between the opposing side faces of the housings (1). Pref. the housings (1) are secured together via opposing snap fittings (10, 11) respectively fitted to the top and bottom surfaces of each housing (1) allowing any required number of housings (1) to be secured together in a stack.
