PURPOSE:To discriminate a direction of movement automatically and measure a moving speed simultaneously, by comparing the advance or delay of the phase of an output of a wave-shaped unit of a radar-type speed detector by means of each phase comparator and by measuring the result of comparison by counters. CONSTITUTION:A reflected reception wave from a moving object A received by an antenna 1 is given to mixers 4 and 5 through a circulator 2 and a Doppler signal is formed therein. The advance or delay of the phase of this Doppler signal is compared and decided by phase comparators 14 and 15 and the results of the decision is the absence of the above signal in a signal detector detecting counting by each counter is compared by a count comparator 18, thereby the direction of the moving object A is discriminated automatically, and the moving speed is displayed in a display unit 13. Since the advance or delay of the phase of the Doppler signal is measured and the display unit is driven according to the result of the comparison, the operability of the device can be increased. |
