PURPOSE:To produce a man-machine interface which excels in the operability and the flexibility at a low cost by describing the common menu definition information and the changed proper menu definition information to a menu definition file and merging these information with the user menu definition information to perform the menu registration. CONSTITUTION:A menu definition file interpreting part 13 interprets the contents of a menu definition file 11 produced by a user and converts the interpreted contents into the user menu definition information 17 having a common form of an MMI system. Then the common menu definition information 14 and the changed proper menu definition information 16 are described to the file 11. Then a menu registration processing part 19 merges the information 14 held by an MMI monitor part 12, the information 16 that received a request of registration from each MMI processing part 15, and the information 17 with each other. Then the part 19 registers the menus to a window system 21. Thus it is possible to obtain a man-machine interface which excels in the operability and the flexibility at a low cost. |
