The orthopaedic device for fitting between a patient's jaws to provide dental correction is in the form of a mask which is bitten by the patient so that the teeth engage holes in the mask. The mask is made of a permanently elastic material and the holes are so positioned that a correcting force is imposed on the teeth. The mask is held in place by shaped fasteners which fit in holes in the mask.
