The vehicle wheel has a one-piece rim (3) accommodating the tyre (7) and with a first flange (4) on the inside extending towards the axis of rotation. A disc (2) secures the wheel (1) to the hub, and has a second flange (5) on the outer periphery, by which it is bolted (6) to the first one. The rim can be a single casting, or it and the disc can be of aluminium alloy and each in two parts. USE/ADVANTAGE - High rigidity and low cost construction for vehicle wheel.
