VERTICAL EDGING MILL

An edging mill has a pair of vertical rolls which are rotatably supported in cassettes which are supported by respective movable housings, the housings can be moved towards and away from each other and the cassettes can be moved horizontally with respect to the housings. Each roll is rotated from a rotatable horizontal shaft which extends below the roll by way of a drive mechanism which includes a universal joint which permits the roll to be rotated even when the cassette is displaced away from its housing.
