NEW MATERIAL:Fusarium oxysporum MT-3013 (bikoukenkinki no. 10787). USE:Effective for prevention of diseases of Cucurbitaceae crops, especially soil borne diseases prevention of which is difficult. Safe and free from a fear of environmental pollution. PREPARATION:A section of the root part of a cucumber grown on the natural upland soil is initially subjected to surface sterilization, subsequently placed on a non-nutrient plate culture medium and kept thereon at 25 deg.C for 72-120hrs. From microorganisms generated from the above-mentioned plant tissue, cylindrical spores are then removed and microorganisms showing prevention of Fusarium wilt of a cucumber and having no pathogenicity to other crops are separated from the above-obtained microorganisms. |
