The lock for a bicycle front wheel is attached to the handlebar column (1) in a position immediately above the front forks (3) by a bracket (4). The latter supports a lever (8) with a handle (7) at one end. The lever handle end (7) can be swung upwards. Thus its other end is pressed against the tyre (11) of the front wheel. The lever is then held in this position by a sliding bolt (10), which is actuated by a key. The lever prevents the front wheel from rotating in its engaged position. ADVANTAGE - Simple design and handling, and applicable to existing bicycles.
