摘要 PURPOSE: To keep high productivity for each spindle by enabling process control for each of the plural spindles of a machining device, and making individual tool blocks readily usable and replaceable. CONSTITUTION: A high production machining device such as a two-spindle lathe has a spindle stock 75 and spindles 76, 77 mounted on the spindle stock 75. A carriage 17 is freely slidably mounted on a machine bed, and a carriage drive 20 for sliding the carriage 17 along a transverse axis is provided. Sliders 25, 30 are freely slidably mounted on the carriage 17 so as to be movable in a direction perpendicular to the transverse axis to support a machine tool, with a slider drive 40 attached thereto. A linear displacement feedback device 66 monitors the relative positions of the sliders 25, 30, and a compensating servomotor 60 is provided for adjusting the relative positions of the sliders 25, 30, the device 66 and the motor 60 being independently controllable.
