An illuminating engineering light reflector has a front stepped surface (1) consisting of inlet (3) and outlet (4) refraction facets, and a rear stepped surface (2) consisting of total internal reflection facets (6) and connecting facets (5). In the main variants of the reflector the facets (5) are parallel to the facets (4) and to the beams (8) falling on the reflector, whereas the facets (3) are oriented in a manner providing that either the Fresnel reflection beams (9) coming from the facets (3) are parallel to the beams subjected to consecutive refraction, reflection and refraction on the facets (3, 6 and 4), respectively, or the inlet facets (3) are perpendicular to the illuminating beams (8). The reflector is intended to be used for transport signal lights and for traffic lights to increase the light opening, the contrast of the light signal during daytime and to decrease the blinding effect during nighttime. |
