PURPOSE:To turn off a main power supply despite the runaway of an information processor or the inhibition of an interruption by providing a power control circuit which stabilizes automatically the processor main body via software when this main body becomes unstable and unable to receive the control. CONSTITUTION:An input signal 101 serves as a main switch signal or a power- fail signal, etc., which decides an ON or OFF state of a power supply. Then the signal 101 is inputted to a power control circuit 102, a reset signal genera tion circuit 111, an interruption control means 106 and a device initial starting means 108 respectively. Thus, the circuit 102 turns on and off the power supply via the main switch signal or the power-fail signal. Then an information proces sor is automatically reset after a fixed time if the main switch is turned off or set in a power-fail state at runaway of the software or inhibition of an interruption. Thus, it is possible to turn off a main power supply of the proces sor while keeping the falling orders of various power supplies contained in the processor. |
