Split sleeve electric motor - has rotor, rotor bearings, bearing sleeves and split sleeve combined as removable module

The motor has the rotor (1) supported by rotor bearings (3a,3b) in turn supported by bearing sleeves (4a,4b) which are attached to the split sleeve (5) between the rotor (1) and the stator (12), at either end of this sleeve (5). The rotor (1), the rotor bearings (3a,3b), the bearing sleeves (4a,4b) and the split sleeve (5) form a module (6) which can be removed from one end face of the stator (12) in the form of a cartridge, to facilitate replacement of the rotor (1). Pref. the outer wall of the split-sleeve (5) is sealed against the stator (12) via a sealing ring (11) which acts against the split sleeve (5) when the module (6) is inserted. ADVANTAGE - Facilitates simple replacement of rotor.
