Prodn. of extruded prods. out of wood chips, fibres and also crumbly material with the help of a bonding agent is claimed. The prod. is homogenised in a mixer, one end of which is fed with the material while extn. takes place from the other end by means of a tubular pump. The withdrawn prod. is sucked through a first nip roll carried by a rotor and introduced into a torque tube through a second nip roll which is dislocated in relation to the first nip roll by 180 deg. while the maximum pressure is maintained through a blocking of the tube body through the first nip roll. The torque is parallel to the screw vane and the movement of the screw effects an extensive aligning of the prod.. ADVANTAGE - The periods between sucking in and pressing out are kept as short as possible.
