The cleaning arrangement is for an oil-level dipstick for an IC engine. It has a container with a two-part hole (24) in the container wall (23). One side of the hole (25) is shaped to allow the free passage of the dipstick and the other side (26) is a narrow aperture with flexible lips (42) which remove oil as the dipstick is withdrawn. USE/ADVANTAGE - Dipstick cleaner for use on a vehicle engine which avoids the need to wipe the dipstick with a rag or paper towel.
