<p>The invention concerns a pressure-operated input device with display. In addition to the display 1 the input device comprises a relatively high-resistive transparent plate 2 and a relatively low-resistive transparent plate 3, arranged in the said order outwards from the display 1. An area A-F in the low-resistive plate 3 which is subjected to pressure and contact with the high-resistive plate 2 is identified by potential-differences being brought about between the edges of the high-resistive plate 2 at the same time as the potential of the low-resistive plate 3 is detected. In such input devices there is a risk that a multiple or double press will be interpreted as a single press carried out in an intermediate pressure area. This can lead to quite incorrect input of information. According to the invention the resistance of the high-resistive plate 2 is investigated for an input current on the low-resistive plate 3. Multiple presses reduce the resistance considerably, for which reason multiple presses can be distinguished and inhibited. <IMAGE></p> |
