METHOD FOR REMOVING NITROGEN OXIDE

PURPOSE:To directly decompose and remove NOx with high efficiency without adding a reducing agent by regulating the molar ratio of NO:NO2 in NOx-contg. exhaust gas to (1:1) and bringing the exhaust gas into contact with a catalyst. CONSTITUTION:The molar ratio of NO : NO2 in NOx-contg. exhaust gas is regulated to (1:1) and the exhaust gas is brought into contact with various catalysts such as a known catalyst consisting of an alkali metal, Co3O4 and Ru. The NOx can directly be decomposed and removed with high efficiency at a low cost without adding a reducing agent.
