PURPOSE:To provide an ambience approximating the actual running condition of a car with a relatively simple structure by constituting a steering wheel rotating mechanism such that a steering wheel shaft enters the rotary locus of an engaging member after it is rotated a half rotation or more in either direction from the neutral position and an engaging arm abuts against a stopper member to stop the rotation of the steering wheel. CONSTITUTION:When a steering wheel 2 is rotated from the neutral condition, a pinion 25 on an end of a steering wheel shaft 20 is rotated to move longitudinally a rack 5. In the counterclockwise rotation of the steering wheel 2, the rack 5 is moved rightward to move similarly stopper members 3 on both ends of the rack 5. After the operation of the steering wheel 2 acts always a force of tending to return the steering wheel to the neutral position. Thus, when the steering wheel 2 is rotated one and a half rotation, a contact surface 23a of an engaging arm 23 abuts against a contact part 33 of the stopper member to stop the rotation of the steering wheel 2. Thus, an ambience approximating actual running condition of a car with relatively simple constitution can be provided. |
