Autonomous, open circuit individual diving equipment is described. This equipment comprises a support assembly which fits onto the back of a diver, a compressed air reservoir (1) fixed to this assembly, an outside air intake (52, 53) for taking in air directly at the surface, a respiratory apparatus (9) connected respectively to the reservoir (1) and to the outside air intake (52, 53), and a converter (5) for controlling the delivery of air to the respiratory apparatus, either from the reservoir when the diver is underwater, or from the outside intake when he is at the surface. This equipment is characterized in that it comprises a reservoir (1) refilling means (10) controlled by the diver and which is suitable, on the one hand, for feeding outside air into the reservoir when the diver is at the surface, and, on the other, for cutting off the air when he dives. This equipment relates particularly to leisure activities, and to teaching inexperienced divers. |
