<p>PURPOSE:To stably obtain a high purity compound useful for improving dyeability of fibers, etc., and as a polymer electrolyte, etc., in high yield by reacting acrylonitrile with concentrated sulfuric acid or fuming sulfuric acid and isobutene in the presence of a specific additive. CONSTITUTION:Acrylonitrile is reacted with concentrated sulfuric acid or fuming sulfuric acid and isobutene in the presence of the following additive and, if necessary, a compatibilizing agent (e.g. THF) to give the objective compound. At least one selected from (a) a compound shown by the formula R1-NH-R2 (R1 and R2 are H, amino, alkyl, amino-substituted alkyl, aryl, etc.) or a salt thereof, (b) a compound shown by the formula (R1 and R2 are shown as mentioned above or bonded CH2CH2-NH; R3 is H, lower alkyl, OH, etc.; Y is O or S) or a salt thereof and (c) a reducing inorganic compound is used as the additive and the amount of the additive added is 0.1-3wt.% based on acrylonitrile.</p> |
