PURPOSE:To allow the faithful synthesis, by means of simple hardware, of sounds of a natural musical instrument, etc., by providing a sound source section and a PCM wave generating section and adding the outputs therefrom in an adder. CONSTITUTION:The sound source section 97 outputs the musical sound, waveform with the musical sound synthesis approximating the sounding mechanism of the natural musical instrument, etc. A memory 21 holds the musical sound waveform which cannot be synthesized by the sound source section 97 as PCM waveforms. The PCM section 12 outputs the musical sound waveforms by reading out the data from the memory 21 and a sounding instruction section 11 outputs a sounding instruction signal to the sound source section 97 and the PCM section 12. The adder 13 adds the waveforms outputted from the sound source section 97 and the PCM waveforms outputted from the PCM section 12. The sounds of the natural musical instrument, etc., are faithfully synthesized by the simple hardware in this way. |
