Coding process. Reed Solomon coders are used to code audio signals which are recorded on a CD in accordance with the CD standard. First parity symbols are produced in a retroactive shift register. To obtain a simple circuit, the first parity symbols are shifted from the retroactive shift register into a storage shift register. After a given number of cycles, the direction of data flow in the storage shift register is reversed. During read-out of the parity symbols, the parity symbols calculated in the retroactive shift register (S1,..., Sn) are combined with those of the storage shift register (R1,..., Rn) in an adding device (A2). Process for coding audio signals which are recorded on a CD or on a magneto-optical disk in accordance with the CD standard. |
