<p>The eddy current brake magnet (3) has in the region of its lower longitudinal edges (9) and (10) in each case a baffle (11 and 12 respectively) which is of angular cross-section, possibly of layered construction and which extends over at least virtually the entire length of each pole coil (4) of the eddy current brake magnet (3). The baffles (11 and 12) shield the field originating from the eddy current brake magnet or from transmission coils (7) of a signalling device, in particular an axle counting device, and/or deflect the said field in such a way that the eddy current brake magnet (3) does not bring about incorrect signal triggering in the stationary position or when passing by the sensors (8) of the signalling devices, in particular axle counting devices. <IMAGE></p> |
