An oral liquid composition contg. a detal anticalculus agent comprises 0.1-10.0 wt.% water-soluble alkaline metal-condensed phosphate of formula (XM2O)P2O5 [X=0-1; M= alkaline metal , 0.01-0.5 wt.% sodium fluoride, 0.5-3.0 wt.% polyoxyethylene-cured castor oil, 0.1-3.0 wt.% sodium nitrate. The oral liquid compsn. is used in the prevention of a carious tooth.
