PURPOSE: To decrease the surface noises of an optical disk of a type having surface relief patterns by applying an adhesive layer on the supporting body of the disk before coating the disk with a material forming a recording layer. CONSTITUTION: The adhesive layer is applied on the supporting body of the disk before coating the disk with the material forming the recording layer. Namely, the thin and smooth layer 2 is applied on the surface of an intermediate nickel copy 1 by spin coating or dipping using any of polymethyl methacrylate PMMA or diluted photoresist or diluted electron bit resist in an adequate solvent soln. having a good swelling characteristic. Then, the layer 2 is capable of erasing the greater part of the ruggedness 3 on the nickel surface. As a result, the surface noises of the optical disk of the type having the surface relief patterns are decreased. |
