PURPOSE:To prevent excessive temperature rise and deterioration of insulating paper by forming a corrosion preventive layer at a cable connecting section in such a way that, after exposed metallic sheaths of cables to be connected to each other are coated with heat-shrinkable tubes, with V-shaped recesses being formed between the tubes and corrosion preventive layers of the cables, the recesses are filled up with tapes of the same material as that used for corrosion preventive layers of the cables and hot forming is performed to the tape. CONSTITUTION:Sections of metallic pipes 40 to be connected with each other and metallic sheaths 14 of cables to be connected with each other exposed by removing corrosion preventive layers 20 of the cables are coated with heat-shrinkable tubes 32 and 34 and, at the same time, V-shaped recesses are formed between both ends of the tubes 32 and 34 and layers 20. Then the recesses are filled up with tapes 36 of the same material as that used for the layers 20 and heat forming is performed on the tapes. Thus a corrosion preventive layer 30 is formed at the connecting section with a very short molded section. Therefore, the excessive temperature rise and deterioration of insulating paper can be prevented even when the temperature is raised by the molding, because insulating oil circulates by convection in the cable. |
