PURPOSE:To print out an image at an improved speed by a method wherein a control means controlling a liquid crystal shutter in accordance with an RGB signal and each gradation of the color is provided, and an image based on input video signals or the like is wholly and simultaneously printed on recording paper for every RGB color and every gradation. CONSTITUTION:In a control circuit, the RGB signal and gradation of an image based on video signals are obtained, a liquid crystal shutter 2 is controlled for every RGB color and every gradation, and the light emitting time of a light emitting body 1 and the number of actions of the liquid crystal shutter 2 are determined in compliance with the density of the color. When the liquid crystal shutter 2 is driven in accordance with the determination, a mask pattern for every gradation of the image based on the input video signals is made available by the liquid crystal shutter 2. Then, because the mask pattern is projected onto a sublimable ink ribbon 3, the ink of the projected part is sublimated in compliance with the color determined by color and gradation and the density thereof and transferred to recording paper 4. In this manner, a printing-out operation is improved in speed. |
