TUBULAR FELT FOR POLISHING

PURPOSE:To obtain the title felt useful for Braun tube of television, being readily attached, improving strength and wear resistance of polished surface by bonding thermally shrinkable butts to the outer surface of ground fabric by needling and further blending thermally shrinkable weft or the butts with water absorbable fibers. CONSTITUTION:Thermally shrinkable butts 3 are bonded to the outer surface of ground fabric 2 woven from thermally nonshrinkable warp 4 and thermally shrinkable weft 5 into a tubular state by needling and at least one of the weft 5 and the butts 3 is blended with thermally nonmelting, water absorbable fibers to give the objective felt. Wool is preferably used as the water absorbable fibers.
