A clip for mounting a rod, pipe, wire or similar elongate member adjacent to the face of a panel comprises two arms 2, 4 joined at one end by a neck 6 the neck and portions of the arms adjacent the neck being shaped to provide an inner surface capable of receiving the rod, pipe wire or member, two flanges 11 extending respectively from the regions of the junctions between the arms and the neck in generally the same direction as the arms, each arm being formed with an external shoulder 10 facing the neck, the arms in the region of their ends remote from the neck being shaped to abut on being moved towards each other in a manner permitting relative hinging, the arrangement being such that the arms can be moved towards each other and then inserted in an aperture in the panel, the arms thereupon snapping outwards to a position in which the shoulders underlie and engage the underface of the panel, the outer face of which it of appropriate thickness is engaged by the ends of the flanges. In the construction shown the flanges are wider than the arms so that if they engage the panel rocking is resisted in all directions. The clip is made of a resilient plastics material. |
