PURPOSE:To greatly lessen the amounts of dust and steam in the gas generated from a blast furnace by diffusing the generated gas into the open air through a cleaner while adjusting the pressure of the gas in such a way that negative pressure region is not produced in the furnace during the end period of blowing operation. CONSTITUTION:In case where the inside pressure of a blast furnace is kept normally by adjusting the amount of air to be sent into the furnace, the gas generated in the furnace 1 is discharged into the open air through a dust catcher 6, a Venturi scrubber 7, and then a semi-cleaned gas tube bleeder 8. In the low air blowing range during the end period of the blowing operatin, fine control on the amount of air not be attained from the standpoint of the characteristics of air valve. Thus, a branched valve 15 by which the amount of air to be sent from an air blower 13 for an air can supply system to the blast furnace to each air heating furnace 14 is adjusted is provided in connection with a bypass pipe 18 of a small pipe with a low-air regulating valve 16 and a flow meter 17. By combining the bypass pipe 18 with the operation of the exhaust valve 8-1 of the bleeder 8, the variation in the pressure of gas inside the furnace is effectively controlled under a low air supplying condition in order to prevent the production of negative pressure region inside the furnace. |
