Light wave modulator using bragg reflector - uses strip shaped wave conductor LED with integral reflectors and modulator

The device (1000) modulates light wave (100) generated by means of spontaneous emission from a luminous zone (20) coupled to a reflective device (25). The modulator proper (30) modulates the light wave (100) w.r.t. time and/or frequency. Pref. the modulated light wave is amplified as a result of induced emission in the luminous zone (20). A Bragg-Deflector (35) and an intensity modulator (36) provide spectral modulation. USE/ADVANTAGE - Opto-electronic modulators. Increased efficiency.
