PURPOSE: To increase homologous reception of implant by dosing an useful low-toxic compound which consists of an implant-rejection inhibiting amount of lapamycin. CONSTITUTION: Lapamycin decreases or inhibits homologous implant-rejection, that is, homologous implant-rejection of an organ or tissue implanted from a homologous donor to a receiver, in a mammal. It can be dosed in various pharmaceutical forms. An implant-rejection inhibiting amount means an amount of dosable lapamycin for inhibiting an implant-rejection of the mammal and maintaining the implant rejection inhibition without occurrence of heavy toxic side reactions such as renal toxis or renal insufficiency. The implant-rejection inhibiting amount of lapamycin is about 0.5-50mg/kg/clay, preferably about 1-5mg/kg/day. According to other study, a useful therapeutic dosage of lapamycin for inhibition of rejection is about 0.01-10mg/kg/day, preferably about 0.025-5mg/kg/day. |
