(A) A conductive mortar and/or plaster, for cathodic protection of reinforced concrete structures, contains electrically conductive, ionic corrosion inhibitors, pref. in amt. 0.01-20 (esp. 0.1-5) wt.% based on the cement content of the hardened mortar and/or concrete. (B) Restoration of reinforced concrete structures, by cathodic protection with the mortar and/or plaster (A), is carried Dut by (a) applying the conductive mOrtar and/or plaster to the adherent surface formed by the attacked upper layer of the concrete structure; (b) embedding a metallic conductive grid in the mortar and/or plaster; and (c) connecting the positive pole of a constant voltage source to the grid and the negative pole to earth and/or the reinforcement to be protected.
