Tablet for cleaning artificial teeth - formed by pressing powder components without pre-granulation contg. organic phosphonic acid and spray dried sorbitol

A tablet for automatic cleaning of artificial teeth in aq. soln. contains NaHCO3 and/or Na2CO3, citric acid or citrate(s) NaBO3, K2S208, surfactants, and foam-formers, binders, lubricants, and initiators, antimicrobials, carriers, and flavourings, 0.5-3 wt. % of perborate/ peroxide activator, and 0.5-3% of an organic phosphonic acid and/or salt, stable to hydrolysis and acting as stabiliser, and is free from inorganic phosphates and polyphosphates and from organic complexing agents based on aminocarboxylic acids. The compsn. spc. contains not more than 2.5 wt. % of the P cpd. and 0.5-3 % of spray dried sorbitol as aid in pressing. All the components are pressed in powder form, without pre-granulation to the tablets. ADVANTAGE - Omission of the pre-granulation simplifies the process and reduces the cost. The hygroscopic properties of the tablet and the disintegration time, are not increased.
