PURPOSE:To enhance the antistatic properties and, at the same time, improve the adhesion properties and widen the use range of the film concerned by a method wherein mixture of specified resins is applied on one side of polyethylene terephthalate film, to which the specified quantity of a derivative of a metallic acid of sulfonic acid is added. CONSTITUTION:Water solution of mixture consisting of 50-95wt.% of self- emulsifiable polyurethane resin, 4.9-45wt.% of water-soluble melamine resin and 0.1-5wt.% of ammonium paratoluenesulfonate is applied on one side of polyethylene terephthalate film, which is un-stretched or uniaxially stretched and contains 0.05-3.0wt.% of a derivative of metallic salt of sulfonic acid and then dried. In succession, the resultant film is stretched biaxially or to the direction normal to the initial stretching direction and hot-set. The biaxially stretched easily adherent antistatic polyethylene terephthalate film thus obtained has the half-life of 60sec or less when the non-coated surface of the film concerned is measured with the 'STATIC HONEST METER(R)' (electro static charge half life measuring device) and the laminate adhesion on its coated surface of 200g/15mm or more. |
