PURPOSE:To obtain an automatic steering device with which the facility and the maintenance are easily checked, by providing a guide reflecting wall at the side of a traveling route of a car and at the same time mounting a wave transmitter and receiver for detection of distance on the car to ensure certain steering control for the space between the car and the guide reflecting wall. CONSTITUTION:A guide reflecting wall 2 is provided at both sides of a traveling route (like a road) of a car 1, and four ultrasonic wave transmitters and receivers 3A-3D are distributed at the front and rear parts of both sides of the car 1. When the car 1 is traveling, ultrasonic waves are radiated to the wall 2 from these 3A-3D. The ultrasonic waves reflected from the wall 2 are received by 3A-3D, Thus the time during which the ultrasonic wave goes and comes back between the car 1 and the wall 2 is measured by an FF16, for example, and coverted into the voltage proportional to a pulse duration/voltage converting circuit 17 to be fed to a differential amplifier 19. A reference voltage generating circuit 18 delivers the voltage corresponding to the reference distance between the car 1 and the wall 2 and can control the distance between the car 1 and the wall 2 at a constant value through a servo mechanism 20. |
