Adjustable tool head for machine tool

The adjustable tool head has a main body (10) which rotates about a given axis and a slide (14) which is displaced perpendicular to the axis of rotation, supporting at least one cutting tool. The main body (10) incorporates a compartment (18) for housing a supply battery and an electronic measuring device for direct measurement of the slide displacement, for controlling an associated digital display (26) also mounted in the tool head. The electronic measuring device (20) and the display (26) are enclsoed by a protective metal cover (30) incorporating a viewing window for reading the display (26), provided with a fluid-tight seal around its peripheral edge.
