In order to evaluate and to correct deflection raster parameters, it is known to reproduce a grid pattern (SH, SV) on the picture area (1). In order to ensure an automatic evaluation and determination of the correction values of each parameter, a flat part (2) provided with photoelectric sensors (3) can be superimposed on the picture area (1). The total voltage (UH, UV) of the sensor rows (6, 7) is automatically set at maximal value by modifying each parameter. The device is particularly useful for correcting convergence in projection television sets having large projection surfaces.
