The tilting mechanism has a motor unit for swivelling a lamp, tiltably mounted on a lamp fastening frame. A lever (14) is fitted to the lamp fastening frame (2) and is swivellable about an axis (15) with its intermediate region, while its one end is coupled to the motor unit (12). Its other end is so coupled to the lamp (1) that it is tilted by the lever swivel. Pref. the motor unit is secured in an orthogonal spacing from the lamp tilting direction on the lamp fastening frame. It is fitted in a space between the lamp and one corner of a rectangular lamp frame. It may be secured to the frame by an arm (10), about which the lever may rotate. ADVANTAGE - Improved fitting of motor unit without any obstructions.
