The capacitor chip has a sintered anode element (10) with a dielectric oxide layer and a solid electrolyte cathode. Two external electrode terminals (2, 3) at opposite end faces of the capacitor (1) are both connected to the cathode, a third anode terminal (8) being positioned between them. The anode element is encased by a plastics sleeve (11), the connection point between the anode wire (7) and the anode terminal (8) lying on the outside of the plastics sleeve. The anode terminal pref. comprises a U-shaped strap fitted around the outside of the capacitor. ADVANTAGE - Min. external dimensions.
